Business Accountz Professional is owned and developed by an ambitious UK based company that has been in existence since 1985. The company provides excellent customer support via telephone and online forums and has a long experience in developing both personal money management with its Personal Accountz product, and business bookkeeping and accounting systems.

The ability to design and print a wide range of business stationary such as invoices, credit notes, despatch notes and estimates is a major advantage over the basic edition which cannot create invoices. Businesses can save costs by using their own logos ad graphics and then printing these stationary items onto plain paper – in colour or black and white.

Payment tracking

Business Accountz Professional offers comprehensive customer management and tracking fetaures so that not only can you use it as a contact tracking system, complete with customer histories, you can also track unpaid invoices with one click from the customer details section.

Individual terms can be set for different customers and you have the choice of traditional end of the month statements or strict number of days since the invoice was issued. If you have problems with credit control, adopting strict terms and the ability to see exactly who owes you what and sending statements should improve cash flow.

The software makes data entry quick and easy with its Accountz Rapid Data Entry system. Being 100% transaction based means that you can take all your invoices, receipts and bank statements and enter them into the software one after another directly into the transaction table without having to keep moving between data entry screens as you have to do with other products.

Businesses need not be VAT registered to benefit from the Professional edition features, however those that are VAT registered will find the one click VAT return reports a significant time saving at the end of the quarter. A free upgrade issued to all Business Accountz users allows the system to accommodate the VAT increase that took effect on 1 January this year.

Wide range of operating system compatibilities

Business Accountz Professional is compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7, Mac OSX 10.4+ and even Linux. It will run on a server environment although it is not yet a multi user system that bestows different access levels to different users – we are told that this is in the pipeline for Spring.

There are very few business accounting systems that run on MAC operating systems – MYOB being a well known competitor, however Mamut, who own MYOB have announced that all MYOB UK products will become read only after 31 December 2011.
