We focussed on the the general aspects of their service in our recent Wiggle.co.uk review. In this article, we review how well their order, delivery and returns processes work.
Wiggle.co.uk is an Internet only bike shop, supplying more than 250,000 cycle, running, swimming and triathlon items from their large warehouse in Portsmouth, UK.
Originating from a traditional bike shop in 1920, they now supply more than 70 countries with their well priced products.
It sounds impressive, however do they actually deliver on their promises from a customer point of view? Is Wiggle a good place to buy your cycling gear if you’ve recently joined the Cycle To Work Scheme?
Ordering from Wiggle
As we said in our first review, the Wiggle web site rates highly on usability and we particularly like the reviews that help you decide on which product to buy from an often extensive range of items.
Once you have finally chosen an item, actually buying it is very straightforward. You need to create a new account, if you haven’t already got one, and that brings additional benefits and encourages you to give Wiggle repeat business.
If you already are a customer then ordering additional items is really quick and easy. As they already have your credit card and address details, you merely select which delivery option you want and confirm the order. Bingo! – your order is on the way to being processed.
The order process is very slick and easy. Also if you have qualified for their Gold membership status (by spending more than £100 over the last 12 months with them), a 5% discount is automatically deducted from their already low prices.
Customers who have spent more than £500 over the previous 12 months are given Platinum status which confers an automatic 10% discount from all items, even those already reduced in sales and promotions.
Here is a little secret that you must not let the guys at Wiggle hear.
Their free delivery service delivers on the next working day, so you do not need to pay for their priority despatch service.
As long as we have placed our orders before 2pm, we have always received the delivery the next working day. Items ordered after 2pm were received within two working days.
In short, Wiggle deliveries are very good indeed. They have part shipped if some of our items were out of stock and all orders have been accurate.
Wiggle.co.uk returns policy
You can return any item within 30 days as long as it is unused and in its original condition. They do not charge a restocking fee and process returns very quickly.
Although you have to pay return carriage when sending an item back to Wiggle, their returns processes are so slick that it is worth buying different sizes of clothes to ensure that one will fit.
You then return the other, unused, item back to them, safe in the knowledge that they will refund you straight away once they have received your returned item.
We know from other Wiggle customers that the returns processes work extremely well, and Wiggle are to be congratulated on this.
