Banking Awards Name The Best In UK Finance

The Moneyfacts Awards have recognised the best in UK financial providers for the past decade, and as the country enters a new financial year, with a new government and turbulent economic climate, this year the ceremony provides important, key indicators as to where consumers should invest and why.

Banking awardsWith 30 categories, including Best Credit Card Provider, Best Offshore Account Provider and Best Over 50’s Account Provider, the awards cover all angles of personal investment and savings options that offer consumers information on how best to make their money work.

Whether you’re aiming to invest for the future of your children via ISA’s and trust funds, or mapping out your own future and are looking for an alternative to the traditional pension option, such as high interest investments and offshore savings, the awards nominate six finalists for each category, which offers a broad market picture of key providers both on the high street and abroad.

The ceremony, which took place on 11 June and was hosted by ITV News Economic Editor Daisy McAndrew, was attended by more than 300 industry professionals. Sylvia Waycot, Editor of Moneyfacts said: “After months of trying times, a cautious optimism is returning, with the mortgage sector seeing product numbers beginning to rise and the savings sector continuing its fight to provide reasonable returns, despite the record low base rate.

These awards demonstrate a firm commitment by providers to quality and choice across a wide range of products. This was very evident in the makeup of our shortlists and why winning a Moneyfacts Award really is something to shout about.”

As the UK’s leading independent provider of personal finance information, the Moneyfacts Awards have become a key indicator of true value in the market place – rigorous product monitoring is carried out throughout the preceding year and the broker community is also consulted for their feedback. This ensures that the awards showcase those providers supporting the sector, at a time when its success and growth has never been more important.
